**The opportunity** Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for part-time Food and Beverage Crew Members to join our team at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Food and Beverage Crew Member, you will help to bring the epic story of the U.S. space program to life. We are recruiting experienced cooks and those who would like to learn and advance in their careers. **Pay** $16.76 - $16.76 / hour Information on our comprehensive benefits package can be found at . **What we offer** Embark on an extraordinary journey with a job at Kennedy Space Center, where every day allows you to share the excitement of space exploration with our guests. + Health, dental, and vision insurance* + 401 (k) with company match* + Paid vacation days and holidays* + Paid parental bonding leave* + Tuition or professional certification reimbursement* + Weekly pay + 12 complimentary tickets and 4 parking passes per year to share with friends and family + Attraction share program with 5 visits per year, with up to 3 guests at discounted rates to popular Florida attractions + Rewards and recognition program with cool gifts and merchandise + Training and development with opportunities for internal mobility and growth, including the chance to work at our other locations nationwide *Available for eligible team members, part-time team members must earn eligibility **What will you do?** + Handling, chopping, assembling, and serving a wide variety of foods. + Safely operate, sanitize, and clean all equipment, including that used for food service. + Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security. + Regularly interact with guests to meet and exceed our guests' expectations. + You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry. + After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments. + Drive a company vehicle as needed. + Perform similar duties as directed. **More about you** + Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. + Attention to detail is essential. + Prior cooking experience preferred. + Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. + Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours. + Must be able to pass a Delaware North and NASA background check and receive a NASA ID badge. + Must be able to obtain a food handlers' certification. + Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work. **Physical requirements** + Able to stand for long periods of time, including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and stretching. + Be able to work in both hot and cold environments. + Able to lift 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs with assistance. + Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders. + Includes indoor and outdoor work environments. **Shift details** Days Evenings On call Weekends **Who we are** The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the visitor center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
