Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite  with our client in Houston, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:  

  • Collects, reviews, and synthesizes program, enrollment, labor market, and performance data required for grant reports.
  • Collaborates with campus leads, faculty, workforce programs, and Institutional Reporting to gather supporting documentation and verify data accuracy.
  • Drafts, edits, and formats narrative components of grant reports, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with federal and state guidelines.
  • Prepares summaries, charts, tables, and supporting materials that explain findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintains tracking systems for data submissions, deadlines, and documentation required for reporting.
  • Ensures submitted reports meet established standards for accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
  • Communicates outstanding data needs, errors, or follow-up items to stakeholders and assists campuses in completing required sections.
  • Prepares internal briefing materials and presentations for leadership review related to findings and grant requirements.
  • Supports cross-campus coordination and assists with training or guidance for staff contributing to the data collection process.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support reporting, grant compliance, or institutional initiatives.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Minimum of 2 years of writing experience (grants, reports, technical documents, research summaries, or academic writing)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with data interpretation (tables, charts, trends)

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • summaries.
  • Familiarity with compliance-based writing (clear, concise, evidence-based).
  • Knowledge of grant reporting processes, preferably Perkins V or similar state/federal compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret institutional data, workforce labor market information, and enrollment trends.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in written work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when coordinating with multiple campuses and departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and data management tools; familiarity with THECB systems (e.g., MoveIT).
  • Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple reporting tasks, and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
