Position: Classroom Teacher Aide

Location: Longfellow Elementary

Reports To: Classroom Teacher & Building Principal

Status: 7 hours daily at $16/hr.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Classroom Teacher Aide to support instructional activities classroom management and day-to-day operations within the classroom. The ideal candidate is dependable caring and able to work collaboratively with the lead teacher to create a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by working with small groups of students to reinforce academic skills.
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need help staying engaged following directions or completing tasks.
• Prepare organize and maintain instructional materials including copying laminating cutting and assembling items as needed.
• Assist the teacher with classroom management helping maintain a safe respectful and well-structured learning environment.
• Supervise students during recess lunch hallway transitions arrival and dismissal .
• Support students who require accommodations or modifications including the use of assistive technology or adapted materials .
• Set up and clean up activities learning stations and classroom projects.
• Help maintain classroom organization supplies and bulletin boards.
• Communicate relevant student observations to the teacher to support planning and interventions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies.
