Safe Sitter® Program Instructor
St. Andrew's Parks and Playground is searching for a Safe Sitter® instructor for our summer camp program. The ideal teammate is passionate about teaching and empowering young adults and is excited to be part of a team that has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 80 years!
A Safe Sitter® Instructor plays a crucial role in educating and training individuals, typically adolescents, in the Safe Sitter® program. The Safe Sitter® program is designed to teach young people important life and safety skills, with a focus on babysitting responsibilities. The instructor's primary responsibility is to deliver the program content in an engaging and informative manner, ensuring that participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to be responsible and safe babysitters.
This is a great position for passionate and engaged individuals who love caring for and developing youth aged 11-14 years of age. Also a great way to earn experience for Early Education or similar college majors, while making money!
This is a seasonal position that runs Monday - Friday, from 8:30am - 12:30pm, for 2 one-week sessions on June 8-12 and June 22-26 during the summer break.
Paid pre-camp training sessions will be on select dates between May 11 and May 29. These sessions will start at 6:00 PM and conclude once the program activities for that session are completed, typically by 8:00 - 9:00 PM. Attendance at pre-camp training sessions is mandatory, however, exceptions may be made on a case by case basis with approval from the Program Director.
The ideal candidate will be a certified Safe Sitter® instructor or be willing to obtain the certification prior to the beginning of camp.
Our new quick and easy application process takes only minutes to submit.
