Grant Writer – Civil Engineering & Public Infrastructure
Western Pennsylvania | Full-Time | Onsite
We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to support civil engineering and surveying projects with a strong focus on public infrastructure and community development . This role plays a critical part in securing funding opportunities that benefit municipalities, utilities, and development initiatives.
Identify and research grant opportunities from local, state, and federal funding sources.
Prepare proposals and applications for infrastructure, utility, and community development projects.
Collaborate with engineering and municipal teams to develop grant applications that align with project goals.
Support municipalities in navigating funding programs (e.g., DOT, EPA, FEMA, USDA, DCNR, etc.).
Communicate complex technical information in clear, persuasive written proposals.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in grant writing or funding development (infrastructure/public works preferred).
Knowledge of civil engineering terminology and municipal project lifecycles.
Strong technical writing, research, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using grant databases/portals (Grants.gov, SAM.gov, or similar).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
