Description:
Early Head Start Teachers must be professionally prepared and qualified to work with very young children and their families in a culturally relevant manner. They must have knowledge of infant/toddler development and Head Start requirements. They must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Responsible for providing care for infants and toddlers, implement early childhood activities as directed and provide basic care as naps, diaper changing and feeding.
Education:
A current child development association (CDA) credential or a willingness to get one is required. Training is available for this position.
Qualifications:
Have a strong desire to work with infants and toddlers and their families. Must have good communication skills to communicate with parents on a daily basis. Must be able to keep all information strictly confidential. Must have first aid and CPR certification.
