Indiana Printing and Publishing Company, Inc. is hiring for a full time CDL Class B Driver! Indiana Printing and Publishing Company, Inc. is a 3rd generation family-owned business that was incorporated on July 2, 1890. IPP is nestled in beautiful Western Pennsylvania. Being a family-owned business, each customer receives personalized attention from design to delivery. We have over 60 employees with an average of 11 years of experience per person! With our vast knowledge and 130 years of experience we pride ourselves on the excellence we deliver to our customers. We can provide end-to-end services from design to mailing for small or large jobs. Our list of clients ranges from states, cities, park districts, colleges and universities, to corporations, We specialize in brochures, class schedules, calendars, catalogs, maps, fliers, posters, letterhead, and business cards. We are open for business 359 days a year. Delivery of products in either straight truck or van to various locations within PA and 12 states. Overnight trips are required as necessary to accommodate customer needs. Most trips allow the drive to be home in the same day.
Job Duties - Safely drive and operate 46,000 lb GVW, 26-foot straight truck.
- Assist in preparation of freight for trips.
- Loading and unloading of freight.
- Safe operation of lift gate, manual pallet jack and electronic pallet jack.
- Assist in warehouse with other tasks and clean-up when not busy.
Job Requirements - Professional work ethic and attitude.
- Current CDL, B minimum.
- Current DOT drug card.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Knowledge of ELD operation and DOT regulations.
- Performance of pre and post trip inspections.
- Accurate keeping of daily trip records.
- Must be able to move 1,500 lb skids with manual pallet jack.
- Forklift experience or willing to be trained.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar work environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mostly day trips however, occasional overnight trips are required and vary based on business needs.
