Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Industrial Creative Designer Intern to add to our Design Engineering team in Denton, Texas.
This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:
Future Class 8 Truck Design Details, innovation, and brand opportunities.
A Mission Specific Truck Cab Design optimization / functionality, Ideas and Details
A Personal – Non-Confidential - Portfolio Project for the intern to own and share.
Team interaction with all departments interns to recommend culture changes towards the future. Weekly meetings live or on Teams to draft a unique point of view for leadership.
The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Transportation, or a related industrial design program.
The skills that are important to be successful in this position are as follows:
Design exploration and creative solutions sketches focused on Future Class 8 Trucks.
Communication and strategic interface with Design, Engineering and Clay modelers.
3D surface modeling (Alias and Sub B modeling) Gravity Sketch and VR sessions.
Photoshop ideation, sketching and rendering relevant and original design solutions.
Strong professionalism with enthusiasm and punctuality, courtesy, and positivity.
Craft detailed insightful emails, Teams usage, competitive benchmarking via web
